Welcome to the Sunrooms Guide
Sunrooms are very popular today as additions
to homes and there is a very good reason for this. It not only gives you
the enjoyment of seeing the sunshine and the stars from the comfort of
your home, but by adding a sun room you can extend your living area for a
lot less cost than adding a standard room to your home. They are the third
most popular amenities requested in homes today.
There are many types of sun rooms on the market today depending on your
budget. You can choose from a year-round sunroom to those that can only be
used in summer. If you choose a year-round sunroom, you can enjoy the
views of outside all year round. This means that you can watch the snow
without feeling the cold weather that comes with it. Double terminal
windows are usually used to obtain this wonderful feeling. It can also
capture solar heat in the winter.
There are four main models on the sunroom market which are straight,
curved, Cathedral and Conservatory. You can enjoy graceful lines and
elegant symmetry by using the curved while the Cathedral sunroom is made
to use light and space. A Cathedral sunroom usually features a peak wall
that will let in light and extend the outdoor view, while giving the room
and eerie feeling inside. Choose a straight design for simplicity or the
Conservatory model is more of a classical architectural design.
Depending on the type of framing you're going to use, it is possible that
in the summer time you can remove the windows to enjoy the season more by
adding screens. You can start with aluminum acrylic kits which are the
simplest designs, where they use aluminum frames and double pane windows
with screens. This type of sunroom is not suggested for the winter season.
No matter which type you choose your definitely adding an investment to
your home and this says nothing about the enjoyment you will have while
using it.
